Even with the decline, trade analysts note that weekday numbers remain steady compared to the massive weekend surge.

Outside Tamil Nadu, however, footfalls dropped significantly — Kochi (10.5%), Trivandrum (5%), Mumbai (9.5%) and NCR (6.75%) showed weaker trends, reflecting the film’s stronger pull in its home state.
Box Office Verdict
With ₹222.5 crore net in its first week, Coolie has reaffirmed Rajinikanth’s box office supremacy. While weekday drops were sharp, the film’s phenomenal weekend haul ensures it is already counted among the biggest blockbusters of 2025.
All eyes are now on the second weekend, which will decide if Coolie can push further towards breaking new records in Rajinikanth’s legendary career.
